The Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) manager is part of a global Center of Excellence (COE) responsible for formulating and executing strategies, initiatives and programs, while also focusing on supporting and guiding Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). This role requires collaboration across business groups globally to cultivate an environment where every employee is respected and empowered to contribute their unique viewpoints and life experiences. It is the driving force behind the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all echelons of our organization, instigating a transformative shift in our company culture and elevating the
employee experience.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
- Partner with key stakeholders to implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace.
- Assess existing policies and processes to determine if they support DEI, and suggest enhancements as needed.
- Partner across a global HR team, particularly the L&D Director, to create and facilitate training programs that drive DEI awareness and understanding.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers globally to improve the diversity of the hiring process.
- Provide guidance to ERG leaders, helping them align their goals with the organization’s DEI strategy.
- Develop and implement frameworks, guidelines, and best practices for the formation, growth, and sustainability of ERGs.
- Leverage our systems to track, measure, and report on DEI initiatives.
- Consistently measure and broadly communicate on progress towards DEI goals.
- Partner with employee relations and people partners to address any discrimination and harassment complaints that may arise.
- Keep up to date on DEI best practices and trends.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in DEI roles, with at least 1-3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, or a related field. Master’s and/or
- relevant DEI certifications preferred
- Demonstratable commitment to DEI and proven track record of designing and implementing successful DEI programs that drive employee engagement, performance and elevate the organizational culture.
- Experience working in a corporate setting, preferably within a large organization with diverse workforce needs.
- Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in DEI.
- Experience managing budgets and resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and drive the DEI agenda across the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey concepts and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and proven ability to excel in an environment that values autonomy and independent thinking.
- Strong analytical skills to assess and measure program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to navigate and facilitate change within the organization through effective change management practices.
- Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and to adjust DEI strategies as needed.
- Ability to plan, multitask and manage time effectively, as well as attention to detail.
