WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE
The Global L&D Program Manager will join our global People Team and have an active role in building the Learning and Development COE by contributing to engaging, well-structured learning opportunities for employees throughout the organization. Our goal is to build a culture of continuous learning.
While learning has always been a part of what we do, this is the first time that tms is building a centralized learning function. Several exciting new initiatives are in development including the selection and implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS), the build and launch of a training program for managers, and the roll out of our new branding and quarterly learning calendar. There are many other projects on the horizon such as executive coaching, mentoring, leadership development, and more.
To establish a strong foundation for these initiatives we are searching for an L&D professional who is motivated by building from the ground up. This means having the ability to be strategic when needed, and at other times to do whatever tasks it takes to get the job done! The L&D program manager will be engaged in program planning and management for new learning initiatives, curation, sourcing and/ or development of training materials, facilitation and delivery as needed, and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the LMS.
L&D also partners with our DEI manager to ensure that our emphasis on inclusion and belonging is represented in our learning initiatives, and that we support the work of tms DEI partners.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
Managing Learning Programs
- Knowledge of and experience with Adult Learning Principles
- 3-5 year minimum experience with curriculum development, instructional design, and learning program management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation and facilitation skills, Power Point presentation skills, clear presentation of emails, memos, and surveys
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail when overseeing enrolment, program data, evaluation surveys, learning calendars, reporting, and scheduling.
- Collaborative spirit and willingness to reach out across the organization globally
- Experience with and / or passion for ensuring that the value of Inclusion guides all learning initiatives
LMS Administrator
- 3-5 years of experience working with a Learning Management System
- Ability to quickly learn and gain expertise in new technology systems
- Willingness to work with detailed data sets to ensure smooth implementation and maintain the integrity of the LMS platform
- Experience developing learning paths within an LMS
- Experience training users on a new technology system
- Ability to design quizzes, certification documents, and gamification within the LMS
- Familiarity with LMS governance and establishing SOPs
Any of the following would be a plus
- Experience with and / or interest in the use of AI in developing learning
- Project Management experience
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools and video editors (may include ispring, Articulate, Synthesia or others)
- Knowledge and understanding of translation needs in a global organization
This is a new role and will continue to evolve as the L&D COE builds and grows. Over time, responsibilities may also shift to meet the demands of new learning initiatives as we work to meet the learning demand of the organization and support the strategic imperatives of the business.
Starting salary between $75,000-$85,000
