Our Product Management team serves to:

  • translate our customers’ packaging category strategy into globally scalable product strategies
  • shape best-in-class strategic sourcing activities using category intelligence
  • plan system capacity and build guidance to support supply resiliency and innovation goals
  • develop and continuously refresh short- and long-term insights on the external raw material and conversion marketplace

As a part of our larger HAVI organization, we are privileged to build and sustain some of the world’s largest QSR supply chains. Our strategies influence the global marketplace and drive growth at hundreds of suppliers around the world. In light of evolving consumer preferences and environmental legislation, our group is inspired to design innovative and sustainable packaging solutions into our product strategies. Packaging is a part of every single transaction at our customers’ restaurants and is the first thing that the consumer sees when they receive their order. As such, through packaging, HAVI is uniquely positioned to enhance the brand experience and help deliver a consistent restaurant experience.

We use our deep subject matter expertise in the packaging industry to design the future product portfolio, including volumes, sources of supply, business impact and value to the consumer. We work in close partnership with our Category, Operational Management, Procurement Services and Commercial groups to implement the product strategies and communicate with all stakeholders (e.g., customers, suppliers, etc.).

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE COMPANY

 

  • Globally lead the development, alignment, and execution of specific product strategies and roadmaps in support of overall category needs. Example of products are fiber cups, clamshells/cartons, wraps, carry-out bags, etc.
  • In collaboration with Category & Standards teams, improve and enhance processes to optimize the product management service delivery
  • Complete strategic reviews per calendar and processes, including tendering, that yield desired product-line outcomes (e.g. savings, innovation, etc)
    • Responsible for the following activities:
    • Value chain mapping
    • Product capacity and contingency
  • Cost / Spend detail
  • Should cost model and current performance
  • Produce price forecasting
  • Multi-year roadmap for product shifts, cost shifts, capacity shifts
    • Partner with Product Development and Operation Management leads in the execution of specific product strategies and roadmaps

 

 

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

 

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in supply chain, category management, and procurement activities
  • Experience in delivering of category executions that result in measurable outcomes (e.g. innovation, supply chain stability, sustainability, cost savings)
  • Understanding of the packaging manufacturing processes and/or packaging materials
  • Very strong critical thinking capabilities
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Highly collaborative
  • Influence without authority
  • Proven people management skills (or potential to develop skills)
