The Assistant Product Manager will sit within our Global Merchandise Services (GMS) team. GMS helps brands bring their fan communities products that unleash badge-wearing potential, so the people who love them most can love them even more.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION

 

  • Product Development Support: Support the Product Management team in the development and execution of product roadmaps, timelines, and strategies for assigned products. Assist in the completion of assortment development tasks in a timely manner to ensure on time assortment development. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (graphics, new product development, sample team and category management) to ensure product development aligns with business goals and timelines. Proactively communicate updates, requests, deliverables, and progress across functions with an understanding of seasonal program timelines.
  • Assist Product Presentations: Support the product presentations process, help with coordinating product samples, updating necessary presentation documents, and ensuring samples are ready for presentation.
  • Maintain Product Documentation: Help create and update product documents, such as product presentation decks, factory selection grid and product reference documents.
  • Sample Meeting Support: Attend weekly sample meetings in person and track requested product updates, ensure that all necessary modifications are implemented based on feedback and that all relevant cross functional stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Concept Deck Creation: Format and set up concept decks following briefings by adding product detail boxes, integrating graphics, and incorporating color palettes.
  • Shipment Requests and Sample Management: Assist in creating shipment requests, coordinating logistics, and sending product samples to clients in a timely and organized manner.

 

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in product management, project management, or a related role (internships or relevant coursework may count).
  • Passion for consumer goods, innovation, and problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of product lifecycle management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Smartsheets
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

 

 

Salary: $78,000-$85,000

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. tms is a total rewards company, which includes rewards beyond base salary.  At tms, full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual results.  In addition, we offer a variety of employee benefits, personalized time off, holiday pay, dental, vision, 401(k), and much more.
